To me personally now that I have finished the quests, missions and whatnot, GW is just basically an expensive, virtual chatroom. However I am constantly trying out different builds, so it never really gets boring for me.

Secondly, the game is far more fun when playing with friends. Thats sort of the whole point of it being cooperatively multiplayer. What do you prefer? Soloing the whole game? Yelling at teammates till they do things your way? Keeping the game as impersonal as possible by only speaking in abriviations and when absolutely necessary? No thank you. As for mocking someone for helping strangers? That's, well, just being an ass... Last edited by kaldak; Apr 11, 2006 at 10:10 AM // 10:10.. |

Ive been bored with GW for about 3 months. Even after the factions event, Im not looking forward to the new game. Nothing exciting there either. As one person posted, Im bored, so I should move on I guess. To the OP, if you havent made 4 characters yet, then you have no reason to complain. If you are like some of us, who have deleted lvl 20's dozens of times, then you could ask, whats the point in playing....

Have not read the thread at all but there are tons of stuff to do in the game.
All bonuses. Have you gotten perfect mods. Have played with different builds. Changed professions to try different builds. Capped all skills for your characters. PvP Unlocked all skills and mods. etc etc. I've been playing since a couple of days after launch and still playing. |

heck GW isn't just about the quest and everything it's about the socializing...Or getting allies before factions comes out. Or maybe helping your fellow guildies.
Or yes you can grind that last cent out of the trolls/griffins/sand elementals and minos if ya want... Personally I'm working towards FOW. I really wanna clear out that forest and that foggy area with the Wurms in it. Do that then tell me your still bored, it's crazy down there. |

I am very new to GW. My first character is just lvl 19. I am loving this game till now. But being a former WoW player I have to say some of the things said here are just ridiculous.

So all we did is wait for our teammates to die and then killed the boss ourselves eh? Have you even played WoW before? The bosses at end game dungeons there take 20 or 40 people to kill them. It takes a hell of a lot of teamwork to kill them. You have no chance in hell of killing the boss yourselved if your teammates die. Both GW and WoW are awesome games. There are positives and negatives for both. People like me just get tired of playing the same game over and over. Hence we try alternatives. There is nothing inherently evil about other games. If you really are tired of GW... give any other game a try. Either you will be hooked on or you will miss GW terribly and come back |

- pvp is for kids, skill has nothing to to with pvp, live with it (searching for skill ? play quake 3)
- solofarm ettins or titans, sell runes and stuff to be able to buy anything you like in gw factions, wait it was nerved, say thx to arenanet and kiddy-bots - learn to avoid antifarm bs, without kiddys bots - learn how to affect droprate, ignore "its all about luck" kiddys (play around with your inventory) - find new (farm)-places pvp kids never heard about - make your char perfect to be able to kill monsters anywhere - buy and play gw factions in ~2 weeks - buy better items for your char in gw factions - unlock new skills for your char in gw factions Last edited by Wildi; Apr 11, 2006 at 03:20 PM // 15:20.. |

If being nice to people, making friends, and helping strangers is a bad thing and means I 'came from pixieland' then so be it. It's a worthwhile activity. Once a week I give something of mine away, and not only to friends or guildies. The only way to make the thread "Biggest Jerk You've Ever Met In-Game" go away is to be nice. While the thread is amusing, jerks really ruin a gaming experience for a lot of people. Quote:
Someone mentioned farming before. Farming can be a good idea but if done too much it can also really screw you over. The game isn't as fun when you farm a lot. My suggestion would be to get in a PvP guild and try to unlock all the skills. |

Making friends and helping strangers is not just an idea for gaming in a fantasy world but a good strategy in real life too. |
